Well we arrived in Montreal yesterday and it is SO cold here. There is 1m high snow EVERYWHERE. A guy that helped us from the airport to our hostel said it was the biggest snow fall they have seen in years.
We are staying in viex (old) area of Montreal. Our hostel is VERY retro and the whole place is art crazy!
We went for a really long walk around the city today through the underground system to keep out of the cold. The streets are so deserted because everyone is smart and keeps undergound in the warm. Took us a while to figure it out!
We had a walk up to this lookout where we walked through so much snow. Jamie is keen to ski now he has seen so much snow.
We had some scary slips on the way down as the snow becomes icey, so we know how Cindy felt when she fell over in it.
Off to Quebec City tomorrow on the train. We got a rail pass that gives us unlimited travel for 10days through southeastern Canada.
