Well...where to start! It's gone SOOO quickly.
When the Parents Arrived
We headed to London to pick up Jamie’s parents on 24th Dec in our 'wonderful' car JD. Whilst down in London we decided to go for a drive to revalidate our RTW tickets. However on our way back to Doug’s place in London, we were heading down a really steep hill and Jamie just happened to mention that our breaks aren't working!
So we then had to leave the car at Doug’s and thankfully Doug’s girlfriend dropped us off at the airport but unfortunately Pol and Gary had already gotten through customs and out before we even got to the airport, so there was nobody with big signs to meet them...so sad!
We then had to get on a bus and make our way to Manchester to try and get Candice's parents from Manchester airport. However we left London airport on the bus at 8am, Candice’s parents got into the airport at 11am and they had to make there way to our house by themselves and no one was there to met them either...very sad, again. DAM CAR!!
Along the way whilst we where stopped at a bus terminal to change buses to Manchester, Candice noticed she had left her handbag with EVERYTHIG in it on the bus. SO to add to the drama of not having a car and not meeting our parents, we also had to deal with trying to find the bag.
We got one of the official guys to call the bus driver to get the bag off the bus for us. The bag was found, THANK GOD, so they said that the bus we had to catch would leave before the bus with the bag on it got back. Therefore we had to get 2 peoples tickets changed to remain behind to get the later bus after the bus with the bag came in. Gary and Jamie were the candidates, poor Gary hadn’t had ANY sleep on the plane and now he had to remain behind for another 5 hours to wait for a bag and the next bus. Pol and Candice were waiting to get on the bus and LUCK would have it, the bus with her bag came in early and literally 2mins before we had to catch the original bus to Manchester. Therefore we got to bag back and quickly changed the tickets for everyone to leave on the original bus. Phew! Sorry if I confused you all!
We then arrived in Manchester at 6pm and got a bus from city centre to home, we were so OVER being on buses by that stage! We got home and Candice’s Mum and Dad were asleep on the couch when we walked in due to jetlag.
Fist things first, our parents delivered our Bundy Rum and we all sat down and had a few to calm ourselves.
