on the 4th feb we went white water rafting at the foot of the andes mountains. it was amazing..the water was freezing and brown, running directly off the mountains. We bussed it about an hour out of the city to a samll rafting compay. they had a great little set up on the bank of the river, with a pool, decks, cafe etc..
we caught another bus further up the mountain to our starting place. Will, lach, elliot, nicko and i were all in the one boat which was good. After our safety briefing (in spanish) we took off down the river. There were plenty of class 3 rapids but nothing that really scarred the pants off us. We did however manage to flip another boat when we ran up the back of them, sending their entire crew 5 foot in the air and hurtling down river, to be rescued by safetys in kayaks.
There were a couple of larger rapids which threw us around whih was exciting..when we finished we spent a couple of hours by the pool, just relaxing..that afternoon we ran a few errons and chiled in the beautiflu parks.
The night befoore there were amazing markets through the park and we all made a few purchases..we again met some really nice people, whom im sure we will see again on our travels..The bus trip to cordoba was standard and relaxing..what it has in store for us i do not know..i do know that university is back, its a saturday night and there are plenty of people here keen to get wild with us! yeew
