So I return. I have been informed by numerous folks that I should have continued with my blogging - that it was being closely followed and enjoyed by many folks.
1: sorry to all of you that I abandoned. I felt like I was running out of interesting things to say and so I just let it drop. To cause further disturbances in the force, I let it drop at a particularly bad moment since the last anyone heard from me was that I was going into lockdown due to extensive civil unrest.
2: I am returning to Haiti and will redouble my efforts to share my thoughts and experiences with my blogging audience.
(T+5 hours)
Correction: HAVE returned to Haiti. Sitting here in Leogane in an expanded Internet Cafe. It's great except that we don't have a power strip on each of the 4 tables. One thing at a time.
I thought the arrival would be easy breazy (to steal a phrase from Covergirl). It has been anything but. I am plagued with an uneasiness that I am crazy for being here, crazy to think that I can do a 5 month stint, crazy...just plain crazy. I really was not prepared for this mental process. I judged that I'd waltz in and all would be well - did not anticipate that a mere 30 days stateside would cause such a shift.
I know from the last visit, and from the MHB's (Mental Health Breaks) that I had the same sort of reaction but once I caught my rhythm after a week or so all was well-ish-er-erish. So I'm just gonna hang tuff knowing that I shall once again find my rhythm and all will be well.
Tent is up - no rain yet so while it's going to be wonderful to sleep in and live in it's not yet proven itself. Reviews said it works great, but until I experience it I'm living in trepidation.
There's more to tell, but I'm rather tired from the flights and so the rest will have to wait until tomorrow night.
