Hi Guys

Had a brilliant week in Cape town it is a lovely city and the people really nice . My B&B was lovely & the people who ran it really helpful.

Went up table mountain in a revolving cable car !!! Tress I am  not joking ! Visitied the townships and tasted local beer! Then went on a tour of the winelands and was drinking wine and etasting cheese at 9.30 am!!! Needless to say by our last tasting at 4pm I had to skip it !!!

Didn't make it to Robben Island as the ferry was cancelled due to the winds, an excuse to come back, definately.

Arrived in Perth tuesday, South Afrrican airlines lost my rucksacks and only got it back this morning, so yesterday had to go commando and wear my auntie shirl's clothes, fortunately she is a trendy 70 year old!!!

Perth customs confiscated a love bean! I had bought Carol the owner would be irrisistable to the opposite sex!!! Oh well she will have to revert to more conventional means!!!

The weather in Oz not as hot as I have been use to but the sun is shining !!

Will try and post some evidence within the next few days, but there will be not as much to report for a while.

Take care

Lots of love

Tracey xxxx

Hi Trace its debs on tress's comupter AGAIN... Well we have now enrolled at northern school of dance and today purchased some teletone taps to make even more NOISE. Its fanntastic we have made loads of new friends and may even form our dance troupe - move over the gumbay dance band, ha ha. Tress and Chris are hungover , it was mums birthday yesterday so it was another excuse for a party - me I have been on the wagon for ages now, long before you left and the money i earn through sponsership is going to SANDS in memory of Mazie. I have to say i have not missed it one bit and after the 5th november i might continue until christmas. Nice to know that you have arrived t the other side of the world safely!!! It is a long way away you know.... Are you missing us all yet? Thought not. Not much to report really, not as exciting as Debs and Tress anyway, I haven't bought any tap shoes andI haven't made lots of new friends either, rather sad isn't it?? I have bought some shoes though but they were only from Asda, £12, they are to keep by the back door when I take the bin out. They will be known as Bin Shoes.
Had a 'different' night out on Saturday. Was at a Golden Wedding party and the entertainment was disco, line dancing and, wait for it............an Elvis impersonator!!!! Felt I was in a scene from Phoenix Nights!!! Good laugh though, think Elvis bloke really believed he was Elvis.
Got a read through coming up for WLTs next production,. We are doing Allo Allo. And don't think you will get away with not seeing it, its in Jan/Feb time. Unfortunately no real part for me other than the Old Deaf Mother!! Would be a laugh though, just have to stay in bed and garble incomprehensibly. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.
Another acting bit of news is that Els did some filming last week for Waterloo Road. Not sure when it will be on (or whether we will see her in the background. Bless) but will keep you informed.
Have a lovely time in Oz and I think its time you gave Auntie Shirley her clobber back!!!

Love Maxine Xx

ps Do NOT look up Puppetry of the Penis!!! You will be traumatised for life!!! That was cruel to suggest that Debs, you know how wussy...erm, sensitive our Trace is!!!

Trace I'm getting really worried that we are not going to be able to recognise you when you get back. I am trying to picture you swigging beer in one hand and a glass of wine in the other wearing a 70 year olds outfit with unblowdried hair, tattoos and whizing off to do white water rafting!! I know they say these trips are life changing but steady on you've got months left yet and dread to think hpw far you are going to go. Thank goodness you were with family when your rucksack went missing, otherwise you might have gone the whole naturist route!!

Plea to Debs and Tress - don't mention any more about the Penis Puppetry or Tracey could be suggesting naked tap dancing with her as the lead!!!

Was going to get you some 'Bin Shoes' for your return as they sound right up your street but am beginning to think that with this major transfprmation you are going through you would laugh at me as you walk across hot coals in bare feet :0)

Have fun
Love Jo Sav

your trip sounds sooooo great and have just looked at your photos and they are sooooo fab and you look sooooo different!!!
Calm it Tracy (me)! Can't actually believe you've got so far and you've survived. I agree with most other folk that when you get back we will not recognise you and you boozing vino at 9.30 in the morning - I had to pick myself up from the floor and have a large one just to get over the shock! Who are you? What have they done with the old Tracey E?
Just to remind you of home me and Shaun went to Akbars the other night and it was loverly - we even had a veggie dish and the most enormous naan - forgot that they do them that big - on the big hook thing that they plonk in the middle of the table. We'll have to do that when you get back.
Well babes, take care and keep the photos coming - you do look different but in a good way.

Hi
Amazing photos, you look like your having a great time, now you are back in civilization (you know what I mean - if you can call being civilized going Commando and wearing the treads of your 70 year old Aunt - c'mon Tracey!! What was in your bag anyway, surely you have binned all that stuff and bought some new ones :) Puppetry of Penis (that is the last time it will be mentioned, originates from Oz, two (but apparantely there are more of them) guys with verrry flexible appendages. My spelling is shot, this week has been about 4 weeks long and I am goosed!! I am just about to go on my Travels, not as exciting as Tracey though Amersham, Groby, Bracknall, London, Leeds, London. I'll not bother posting any pictures, although I am sure I will come across many lions tigers and bears.
Ginge and I have joined ANOTHER tap class. Broadway beckons - I can't wait for my Christmas do. New class is 1.5 hrs - we could have done with oxygen afterwards, good laugh though (once I'd caught my breath).
Going Salsa dancing next week, have discovered a Salsa club - my boss is marrying a Cuban in Miami next month, so we are having her Hen night in Leeds. I have bought her deely boppers and a sash to wear for the occasion, think I may have to do a t-shirt too!!
Well have fun in the sun (hope it has stopped raining)! I bet it is flying by.
