I am sorry guys, I have been thinking of you and appreciate my lack of blog has led to some contamination of the blog!!!

But I have signed up to BBC Entertainment and that has replaced bogging! As well as catching up on the X FACTOR on itv.com!!! Am I allowed to cry with only a min snippet ;)

Well just had a most surreal day I have been to Macau an island off Hong Kong although only 1 hour away we needed our passports and have a new stamp for another 180 days so not illegal yet! Still no sign of an ID card! or work visa!

Any how the island was originaly Portugese so it was like a little bit of Europe(see fotos)We then went to the Ventian casino! again we were in Europe very weird! and all the time surrounded by chinese people!(is that pc?)

Having a great week off went to Lantau another island that is part of Hong Kong on Monday and visited the Big Buddha amazing(went up on the cable car! I am getting so brave) and had a great Vegetarian chinese at the monastery. We then went to Tai o which is one of the few villages on stilts still around amazing and then saw Pink dolphins!!! the best bit was it only cost us 20 dollars less than 2 pound! You know me I like a bargain(No comments thank you!!!)

Apart from the sightseeing generally came 2 nd in the local pub quiz! Nearly got run over by stepping into the road to avoid a flying cockroache!! and nearly stepped on a frog in the middle of Briggate(leeds reference) It was actually Queens Road central!

So you see I have been busy oh yes I ahve been working as well! Still no take up on my Science(thank goodness) club and cookery club! But have survived parents coffee morning including crafts(some of you will know how stressful that was for me! me and crafts!!! Basic!)

I will add photos so dont log on yet!

Off to find out about some volunteering tomorrow and I am going on a hike with a new group next week trying to broaden my networks!!!

Hi All
Thanks for all the comments sorry not been back in a while! Just over my 2nd typhon! This time decided to go out in the T8!! Well I did have to go to work as it was a 3 in the day which meant no children but by about 6 the warnings had gone up, anyhow as is traditional for Hong kongees! I went to the cinema! little bit scary on way there and back but I survived although very wet!! Today it was an amber rain alert!! Basically alot!! I need some wellies, thought people were crazy in this heat but otherwise your paddling!!
I must say before I continue well done mystery blogger on getting the net, now where is your email address and skype!!!
Work is going fine have just found out today I will be running a Maths and English club on my free afternoons, that should be fun!
Have 2 public hols and a week off in October but still have to fit in Diwali and Halloween! As well as a coffee morning for parents!
A little bit about the HK natives! Many of them do a good MJ immprssion with the face mask partly because of pollution ad mainly germs they are pretty paranoid since SARS. Not got one yet on my shopping list!
They have lots of dogs and push thm around in prams! they have their bakery and I saw 2 he other day in little boots;) Honestly goodness know where they find space for them. My next door neighbour has a yappy one and she also indulges in her own yappy kareoke at the weekends!! Not met her yet and need to before I can tell her off!!!
The new place is great really feeling settled compact I would describe it but its my own and feels comfy, everyone jealous of roof space a bit tto humid at the moment to take full advantage but hopefully in afew weeks it will be a great sunbathing spot.
Joined an other gym last week and got free beauty treatment vouchers so had a lifting and firming facial experience which involved hitting me on the head and back;) not sure what that did to my face but I felt good after also a magic eye treatment great for the bags I have inherited since I arrived by not sleeping enough! I went to a bollywood lesson and another bash at yoga both hilarious as was the sauna and steam room, its a women only gym and its amazing how relxed they all are;0
Went out to one of the islands last weekend for a walk pictures attached really amazing it is so near the big city. Also went up to the peak in an amazing tram almost vertical !! and my vertigo seems to be getting better managed the viewing platform, the heat must have gone to my head!
Have another island planned for the weekend and next week we are going posh and visiting the mandarin oriental for cocktails for someones b'day.
All in all having a great time but really starting to miss you all its just not the same.

Sorry guys I am back!! Thanks for those of you who had added comments I do read them but really want to try and make my contributions as interesting as yours!!! So need to pick my moments.

As there has been a lull in commenting thought I would give it a whirl, also got foots to prove I am here! Or at least out with different people!!!

Today had a great day walking the dragons back!! Around a 2 hour walk with the most amazing views, then down into Shek O for dinner by the beach!!! What a way to end the weekend.

Yesterday we had rain so spent the day exploring the shops had a trip to Zara!!!

First week with the children in class went well, we were both intact at the end! On of the girls called Miss Crazy instead of Miss Tracey !!!

Went to Hatha Yoga yesterday at the gym, the hottest, sweatiest Yoga I have been to!!! I could feel it today! I thought it would be less nergetic than the cross trainer! Not really!

Moving day to the new studio is this weekend and its a public holiday for the mid autumn festival so having a bit of a roof warming on monday! Visit to Ikea this week.

The trip on the junk was amazing so relaxing but the fish served with a tomato in its month not so good!!! On the way back saw a shop alld Fok Tat!! not sure what it sold but it made me laugh!

Found a food shop where you can buy qourn, cottage cheese and gelatine free licorique(cant remmber how to spell it!!) expensive but good to keep me going and I know what I am eating.

Really starting to miss you all now its been a month on wednesday, spoke to the little ones this weeknd which didnt help but did if you know what I mean? BUt th calls, texts and emails really help. I do love it here just wish you could pop over for a visit!

Working in Hong Kong!!!

I have just written a really good story and lost it!!! So this may not be as good;)

Well yesterday was my first day at Happy Valley Pre school!!! next to the race course if any one is a racing fan/gambler!!

I have completed a months curriculum planning for 4-6 year olds!! Anyone who knows me will realise that I have not done that for a while! But I think I blagged it! Now all I need to do is plan for my first week with 17 children! Is making biscuits, painting and counting 1-10 oh! and a bit of singing thrown in really work!! Had my first late night today 5.15!!!! Having said that I start at 8 which is way early for me at home I was just in the gym!!(I start that tommorow!)

Exciting non work news is I signed for a studio tonight! with roof terrace only for 6 mths then hope to get somwhere bigger but I am looking ofrward to tea on the terrace and a bit of sunbathing, you wouldnt think there had been a typhon at all now, but the heat is playing havoc with my hair Jo F suggested a perm but those who know me in the 80's will appreciate why that is not a good idea;)

Have a trip to IKEA planned to kit the flat out! yes you heard right, they can always be relied on, priority is a toaster and cooker missing taost and peanut butter!

Socially I am off to a french restaurant on thursday and on a junk at the weekend!! Very cosmopolitan, but after the meal I had last weekend I cant wait, I had a discusting veg and mushroom rice roll(no veg and it did not resemble rice the gloop!)

All in all having a great time and dont feel so far away as I can talk to people easy and the emails.

Typhon!

Well today was afree day off due to Typhon 9 alert! Having said that oblivious to it in my room so dont be worrying about me I am away from the falling scaffold and moving buildings!!

have added some photos of little apart!!! Little being the operative word! Thank goodness for the laptop today going stir crazy! Stormy weather forecast for next few days serves me right for thinking about going to the beach!! Hope to check out districts for flat hunting and visit some family of friends at the weekend which should be fun.

Training and planning next week so hope to be busier and get into the flow of it all.

Come on guys don't leave blogging up to Jo and Max you know what they are like hogging the airwaves!

Well here I am, after numerous farewells and lovely presents thank you everyone!! Here I am in a tiny studio on Wing Lok Street(Ginsing and Birds nest street!) Hong Kong island. I have my computer(thank you to all those who contributed its fab I have already being on skype!!)

Well what is HK like? Hot? Very! Humid? Without a doubt!

Clean, organised,safe, modern,old,trendy, buzzing, every restaurant you can imagine! I have already had: Thai, pizza, italian, chinese(with chiop sticks!!!) and the best veggie burger I have ever tasted!!! So hings are looking good.

Fitness First(my old gym from home) is just behind my studio so its like home from home almost!

Travelling on buses is great as its air conditioned and they even have a little video on for the kids upstairs(Bob the bUilder was on when I got on the other day!!)

I'm still not qute use to the money at the moment but I guess once I am paid in HK dollars it will be easier.

Hope to look for a bigger apartment this week for the influx of visitors!

Had my first day at work today really cute children majority chinese as it is just play scheme at the moment but they nearly all have engish names, apart from the woman at the supermarket who was called Pinky Pang!!!

Next week I will start properly at the school in Repulse Bay where I will be working permanently brand new and right on the beach!!

Will put some photos on as yet non of me! So I could be still at Rosehill Road ;)

Hi All

Well here I am sat in the libary at Parkgate!!! Updating my last Round the World blog!!! There may be others in the future !

New York was fun braved an open top bus in the cold and snow and did up town, down town and Brooklyn!! Went to see Martha Stewart show(US Delia !!)went to see Niles from Frasier in a musical really funny, had lunch with a friend visiting from London then dinner with some friends from France who now live there !! So not a moment to rest.

Battled the nightmare of the London Underground and the chaos of British Rail, then got a lovely taxi driver from the railway station home telling me his tales of visiting Vegas!!

Had a lovely weekend visiting my sisiter and Niece and Nephews. Mona was so excited to see me I had to have 2 nights sleepover!!

Have a great christmas everyone. Hope to see you all soon. Not sure if there is a new me I might have left her across the ocean!! But bits of the old me are not that bad !!:0

Hi All

Well here I am back in New York for the last 3 days of the adventure!!!

Canada was fun even though very, very cold. Visited Naigara which was stunning especially with the ice but not quite Victoria Falls !! Sorry to be a snob!!!

I love New York but have encountered some rude people! But I guess that can happen where ever you are.

Trying not to think about work it feels like an eternity since I was there, but really looking forward to seeing everyone.

I cant get too serious about the things I have learnt on my trip but I feel I have and even though it has only been 3 mths but has been such a valuable experience and somethng I would do again at the drop of a hat or a few thousand pounds!!!

If I don't get chance to post against in next few days, thank you to those of you who have posted things on my blog it's all added to my trip and I'm sure kept others entertained!!!

Freezing!!!!! -10 !

Well I have certainly had every weather you can imagine.

I am in Brampton just outside Toronto, it snowed over night 5 inches and it was minus 10 yesterday !! Went up the CNN tower without having a wobble even went on the glass floor!! Honest I did without hyperventilating.

Went to Niagara Falls but was a little too cold to sail under, had to borrow a coat from Shelagh.

Leaving tomorrow for New York where the snow may follow me, hopwfully won't bring it home with me.

Glad your feeling better Jo, Debs I hope the Alwoodly & Bramley crowd are not taking your time because my emails will be farmore exciting !!!!

Tress are you still there? Not heard from you in a while.

Have been promising fotos but the computer is a bit slow slow but hopefully will download some back in New York have evidence of my exploits.

Make sure the house is neat after the party girls and invite all the blog gang.

Sorry not been in touch, what with babysitting, shopping and relaxing body scrubs at the spa!!! Not had a moment !

In New York now staying with a friend in Green wich village it's ace. Went to Ellis and Liberty island yesterday adn today planned a bit of culture at the MET but shopping took over!!!

A few tops and shorts and no hair dryer is fine in the jungle but not in down town Manhatten !!!

Will be in touch soon with fotos, off to Toronto today

Sorry guys I'm back.

I wish I had been by the pool!! Cloudy and too busy entertaining 4 under 7's!! Having said that it does include a trip to Disney for breakfast with Minnie & friends! As well as a trip to the beach! It's saturday night and I am babysitting overnight!! while Cath & Ian live it up in a posh hotel!! I thought this was suppose to be a break from the norm!!!

Can't complain really it's lovely to spend time with them.

Thanksgiving next week, Cath has invited everyone and his dog ! I have volunteered to do veggie dish and dessert although they seem reluctant not sure they think I can cook!!!

How cold is it at home? Still not got coat or shoes for New York & of course my journey home to fab Rotherham !!!
