Pinnacles

North of Perth there is a town called Cervantes. An interesting anme for a WA town, you might think, but it's not a very interesting story how Cervantes got its name and there's not a lot that's very interesting about Cervantes itself. It's a little town, with a cool breeze, a pleasant beach and a lot of crayfish boats. Oh, and western australia's most visited tourist site is right on the doorstep.

The Pinnacles are quite something to see. The limestone formations are weird and wonderful. Many of them are like statues and many more look like Ann Summer's finest. We were lucky enough to arrive in time for sunset the evening of the full moon. We saw the red sun set behind the pinnacles and the yellow moon rise above them within minutes of each other. We also got to see kangaroos and emus in the wild for the first time. Not a bad trip.

Photos to follow. Patience!
