Hey everyone,
Hereby another update from across the ocean.
The last couple of weeks have been pretty busy when it comes to studying. I've had a test for each of my courses and next to that my 'regular homework' of course. Last friday was my last test for now, so my scedule will be a bit more relaxed.
Furthermore, my hard work has definitely paid of. My test results, I'm still waiting for one, are all between 93-106% (we could get extra credit) so that's great!
So what did I do next to all the studying?
Well, first of all there was the 14th of February: Valentine's Day. When I opened my door to go to class in the morning, I found little bags of candy. Throughout the day I kept recieving more candy and cards from my friends, which was really sweet. But the best event happened later that day. After dinner all the guys from second floor (guys and girls live on seperate floors here) came by, fully dressed up in a suit etc., to give all the girls a rose. That was really cute.
That weekend Reesa's (my neighbour) parents came by. They invited me for dinner on friday evening and after that we went to an icehockey game. Yes, my very first icehockey game. I had a lot of fun there. Especially when we found out that one of the guys on the team was from the Netherlands (Tilburg). He scored once and got into a fight (which apparently is pretty normal...) so that was pretty funny.
Last friday we went out for dinner with a group of people. For some reason we decided to all dress up for the event. We went to a mexican restaurant and I must say: I'm definitely gonna miss that when I get back home!
And yesterday night I went to a dance with my roommate Amanda. Her sorority together with one of the fraternities had organized the party and Amanda invited me to be here 'date'. We had a great time.
And now I'm sitting in my room taking a break from homework. The weather has been pretty nice the last couple of days: sun and around 13 degrees. Unfortunatly, it's probably gonna snow again tomorrow.
Anyway, I should probably get back to homework again. If you've got any questions about my stay here, just let me know and I'll try to answer them.
