Hi all, you are all going to feel very sorry for us when I say this (not), we are now on our last 2 weeks in the mini-beast and our last 3 weeks in Oz. Time is slipping away fast now. We have had an action packed couple of days in Airlie Beach cruising the Whitsunday Islands. We had two very different days. The first day we went on a sailed catamaran, which was very peaceful and only 10 other people on board. We went to the north of the islands to snorkel in blue coral bay and langford beach. Both amazing places, lots of colourful fish and corals. Also saw a numer of turtles at langford beach. The water was a lovely 28C. The second day we went on The Big Fury!! A big and fast motoboat that took us to the most popular place in the islands, Whitehaven beaach and then we went snorkelling. Really exciting boat ride. we stopped on whitehaven beach for a couple of hours, had lunch, marvelled at the most white sand which is so fine it squeeks when you walk on it and we walked up to the look out. The snorkelling was the best so far as we were in quite shallow water and close to the coral. Really fantastic corals at this spot and lots of fish. It is still stinger (jellyfish) season at the moment so you have to wear the very fetching stinger suits in the water. Great couple of days. We are on the road again today heading north. Love to all, Dawn and Mark xxxx
