The End

The (very crammed) smoking prison cell at the Munich Airport. Unbelieveable. These are the lengths to which people will go in order to be able to stick tobacco in their mouths and light it on fire.
We made it home via Munich and so did all our bags, amazingly. What a great trip. I'm too beat to write much more (my body thinks it's after 10pm and I've been up since 4am) but I will be assembling the best photos and videos into a DVD of some sort for you all to have as a souvenir.
Robert Kozánek, the fellow who recorded my euphonium and piano piece in Bratislava and who also happens to be the principal trombonist of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra in Prague, asked me to write a concerto for him to play in September 2009 at the 60th anniversary of the Janáček Academy of Music in Brno, Czech Republic, where he teaches trombone. Not a bad end result of this little trip we took.
Thanks for checking in on us and I hope you enjoy the images I put together, as soon as I can assemble it all.
Ciao for now.....
