This is the old Slovak National Theatre building, where they did drama and opera. Apparently there's now a new theatre building nearby and this one is a kind of museum. It's close to the town square and is quite an impressive building. I think I took video footage of it as well which will help give a better impression of its scale.
I've posted some more photos. I can only upload five at a time here and can't always get PC access so I'll do what I can. This batch is a random sample of pics I've taken around town. Actually I've been doing a lot more videoing than photographing but because I can't get anything uploaded to YouTube, those will have to wait.
It's raining cats and dogs right now. Alicia, Jim, and Lori have gone to Vienna for the day and Alaina is catching up on sleep. I may play some Scrabble with Elliott and Pete Farmer (from MMC) who are also staying at the Tatra. If it lightens up we'll walk back down to the old town yet again to go to a bookstore and the shop inside the Slovak Philharmonic building. This is by far the most walkable major city I have ever been in outside of San Francisco and New York.
