Hoje foi um dia calmo. Lilia levou o carro para uma rápida revisão antes de irmos para a Escócia amanhã. De tarde encontrei uma velha amiga, Marianne, e foi muito bom conversarmos um pouco. Uma curta caminhada até o supermercado onde o mais divertido foi ver a concentracão de Jasmijn andando em sua bicicleta, rosa, é claro! Para mim, um dia perfeito.
Today was a quiet day. Lilia took the car for a quick check-up for our trip tomorrow. During the afternoon we met with an old acquaintance, Marianne, and it was really nice to spend the afternoon talking aobut all and nothing. We walk to a small market nearby and the best thing was to see Jasmijn's concentrtion riding her bike, that was pink or course! For me, it was a perfect day.
Acrescentando uma historinha do dia: Ruud foi trabalhar e Lilia levou o carro para a revisão. Eu fiquei em casa com Jasmijn dormindo, contando que Lilia voltaria logo. Mas é claro que dez minutos depois de Lilia sair, Jasmijn acordou! Eu já tinha sido avisada que se a menina acordasse eu poderia deixá-la ver tv ou um dvd, mas quem disse que eu conseguia ligar os aparelhos?! No desespero liguei para o celular de Lília e descobri que estava usando o controle remoto errado! Consegui ligar a tv mas não o dvd. Dei o café da manhã e esperei ansiosa a volta de Lilia. Nem tanto porque tenho pouca (nenhuma!) experiencia com crianças e mais porque fico nervosa por não entender a Jasmijn. O anjinho entende tudo de portugues mas não fala! E aquela corrente de holandes não me ajuda em nada a manter a calma! É claro que tudo deu certo e passeamos calmamente até a hora do jantar.
I'm including a small note about this day: Ruud went to work and Lilia took the car to check it out. I stayed at home with a sleeping Jasmijn. Lilia wasn't suppose to take long but of course Jasmijn awake ten minutes after her mother left the house! I knew Jasmijn could watch tv or dvd if she waked up before Lilia returned but who said I was able to to turn on the equipments?! I called Lilia on the cell phone and found out I was using the wrong remote control! I managed to turn on the tv but not the dvd, and I also managed to serve breakfast while waiting axiously for Lilia's return not so much for my little (non!) experience with children and much more because I can't understand Jasmijn. She understands Portuguse perfectly but onlys speaks Dutch! And I get nervours by the minute when she keeps talking Dutch and I can't understand! Of course everything was right in the end and we spent a lovely evening waiting to meet Ruud for dinner.
Em minha defesa, devo dizer que o sistema de audio e video do Ruud é complicado e interligado e trabalha com pelo menos 2 controles remotos de cada vez!
In my defense I must say that Ruud's system of audio and video is complicated and all interconnected and works with at least 2 remote controls at the same time!
Amanhã embarcamos em um ferry até Newcastle e subiremos de carro até Edinburgh. Acredito que não será possivel postar de lá, então mais noticias só na proxima quinta ou sexta-feira.
Tomorrow we'll take a ferry to Newcastle and then drive to Edinburgh. I think I'll not be able to post while there, so I probably will post again next Thursday or Friday.
