Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: one girl's quest to see the world

I am museum-ed out!

Well the day is winding down and my feet are killing me because all day today has been walking through museums. It's been pretty sweet but still, I need to chill out tonight. Started off with a tour (in German so I have *no idea* what was said) of the Staatsoper (State Opera house) then followed up with the Pergamon Musuem and the Altes Museum (both have art and sculpture from antiquity but of particular interest was the Egyptian exhibit in the Altes Museum including a bust of Queen Nefertiti!).

It was a beautiful day and now has started to cool off (was in the 90s) so I may go to the Tiergarten to read more of Midnight's Children. I am *loving* this book despite a bit of a slow start. Tomorrow is supposed to be close to 100 degrees so I'll probably do whatever I can to stay inside including a possible afternoon at the laudromat near my hostel.

Sorry I don't have anything more exciting to discuss. Went to an improv show called Laugh Olympics Berlin last night and have never been more bored by comedy in my life. These kids were terrible and it was all I could do not to walk out at intermission. Made friends with a Yogi named David though who has been traveling the world for the past four years teaching yoga for a few months in each location. He just came in from Spain and is here in Berlin now and next is off to Bali. We suffered through the show together.

Hope everyone is well! I've heard from some of you recently (with great news too!) but others seem to be MIA. Send updates when you can... I know life can be crazy sometimes :-) Anyone go to Joe's wedding yesterday and have embarassing stories to share?

And to you New Yorkers... I'm back Thursday afternoon and I'll be itching to see people after three weeks on my own so keep an eye out for free time this weekend. Love love from hot and smelly Berlin (this city really was built on a bog...)!
