Early February

I know, I know, this was supposed to be posted earlier in the week, but it's been relatively quiet so not a lot of news.

Saturday, well what can I say the battle between Mother Nature and I continues. This time Saturday started off being a beautiful, if cold day with blue skies. Chelle wanted to get some work done and Ryan had a speech to practice for, so we decided not to venture far. So while they were busy I had a poke through the freezer and realised how much I would love a steak. "Ahhh" says I, what a great day to have a BBQ, so I set about cleaning up the deck and BBQ.

In the afternoon the kids worked on the mother of all snow caves, this one has two entrances, a window and a chimney. Chelle went out for a run and then.... The snow came (see it was Chelle's fault), far from being deterred the BBQ went on in the true ANZAC spirit Lol, a bit different Barbecuing in the snow I must say.

Sunday, we took the kids to the Ontario Science Mueseum, for those of you that have visited Questecon in Canberra it's pretty much the same only on a larger scale. It encompasses an IMAX theatre and a planiterium. The highlights of this visit were the planiterium and the visiting whale exhibition from NZ.

Tuesday afternoon I was reliably informed that the snow in the garden was packing snow apparently you need to be between 4 and 15 to know what packing snow is:-)so we set about making a snowman. Now I have always wondered why you never saw huge snowmen, I now no why, it takes an awful lot of effort to move a large snowball around in the snow and even more effort to pick up a medium size one and place it on top. Our efforts are posted in the gallery.
