My thoughts about . . .

Yellow Crane Tower

So, it isnt a building crane.  I wasnt really thinking about birds before our 8am bus departure from our hotel to the site.

Yellow crane tower is a historic tower at the bank of the Yangtze River. Supposedly the view is great . . .It wasn't bad--I mean, you could see the skyline a bit thru the haze.  I am not sure if the haze was due to the weather or the pollution (???)   After living in the 'bel paese' for so long, my standard for a beautiful panorama is very very high.

Legend states that a scholar was standing in the tower, when he saw a crane flying past. He asked to hitch a ride on the crane, which took him away and he was never to be seen again.  So, the yellow crane refers to a bird .  . . who knew?
