My thoughts about . . .

Ryanair

PANIC at check in. I was waiting in line at the Ryanair counter at the MAD airport and all of a sudden there was chaos!  Even if the buzz was in Spanish, it was so easy to understand. It started with a 20 something boy timidly pulling his rollerboard to an empty check in desk and plopping his case on the scale. You could see the panic in his face as he turned around to his mates and exclaimed, “¡-----!” Well, I am not sure what it was he said but language in this case wasn't necessary.

Obviously, his one small bag weighed more than the allowed 15 kilos.

No sooner had he rolled away from the counter, and others were following suit. Mine weighed 13 kilos. Ten minutes later, when it was my turn to check in, it weighed 13.5. “What gives?” I asked the young bespectacled lad. Smiling, he handed me back my ID card and said, “buen viaje!
