Another
tasty and relaxed breakfast consumed before we rugged up and headed out to
visit Jeanine’s Opa. We were hoping to take him out to enjoy the autumn
goodness but he was a bit under the weather so a quick visit was all that we
managed.
Still keen
to enjoy nature we took Dino’s bike and walked through some nearby woods along
the well maintained paths. SAW DEER!!! Bray saw them first then pointed them
out to Roni who was WELL excited. They were up in the trees and keeping very
still but clearly visible. A long walk later we returned to the car and headed
home.
Dino and
Bray played outside (football and chalk drawing to name a couple of their
occupations) while Jeanine and Roni did some washing and prepared pancakes for
lunch. Tasty! After this Dino and Jeanine retired for a nap while we finished
watching Thor before afternoon tea
and play time with Dino.
Ruben came over
for dinner and we all enjoyed a tasty pasta prepared by Bray and Jeanine before
Dino went to bed. After this there was some ‘jam time’ with guitar and vocals
before Roni & Ruben tried a new arrangement of a song for Jeanine...She
loved the lyrics but really didn’t like the original arrangement so Ruben had
whipped up an alternative. He enlisted Roni to help with a sing-through or two.
A few
beverages, good chat, some music and a reluctant farewell to Ruben when he headed
home.
