The BIG Trip

Life in Phnom Penh

We got to do the 'school run' with the Sussex family today! Dropped everyone off and even had a mini-tour of the littlies campus that Pippa and Molly attend. Molly has Friday's off so loved the chance to show us her school!

Becky and Phil had language lessons so we got dropped near their place of learning and walked around the Russian Market for a bit. We are pretty much market-ed out to be honest so didn't last long past purchasing baguettes for whanau lunch. Then went to Jars of Clay cafe down the road for a cool drink and to decide what next... We walked to Independance Monument - seeing a fair slice of PP life along the way - before returning to rendevouz with Phil and Becky to go home for lunch. On our walk we found B-Ray Tower, a cool graf, Caltex, a tiny bird and some massive houses!

Home time - we were very warm by then after all the walking. Lunch with Molly, Phil and Becky before some time to relax...Bray had a nap on the couch! That evening we ventured to the supermarket with Phil - seeing a local shopping centre it was in also. Home time then for a delicious dinner with the family - Roni got to use her chicken carving skills :-) Dishes, cuppa and time to relax until bed.

i miss you guys A LOT. my old flatmate mary is visiting and we are having an awesome time...many adventurings and many introductions...you are both sadly lacking in those departments. BUT am excited by all the stuff you are up to.
we went to castle burgess last night. i tried to carve the chicken...butchered it...ruby had to take over. suffice it to say your absence was lamented!
