Another sunny day in Chiang Mai.
Bray was really tired so we had a slow start this morning. Then got mystery Thai baked goods for breakfast - ate at a coffee house that not only had REAL coffee but also earthed plugs! We got to charge the laptop and skype my lil' sister Lisa for her birthday. Good times.
Spent the rest of the day exploring more of the old city, saw the Museum of Arts and Culture, some cool graffitti, tree lined avenues, wats (of course!) and had lunch in Suan Buak Hat public park with a tightrope walker, Thai office workers, tourists and a friendly cat who looked a bit like our cat Jack.
Back to our guest house as we had three days worth of photos to label - fun fun fun. Before heading out to wander the night bazaar, eat noodles for dinner and see the city light up. Back now and packing our bags again...head to Chiang Khong tomorrow morning then cross in to Laos on Friday.
Jandal drama...on a side note, when we got home yesterday my jandals were gone from by the front door :-( I asked around and at reception but assumed someone had put them on by mistake. No sign of them today either and Bray counseled me to give them up for lost.
As we walked out to get dinner tonight the reception lady was talking to a policeman...he had followed up on the jandals! There was a note from the jandal-wearer apologising for taking them by mistake. The policeman told me they would be back by 9am tomorrow. YAY! Bray and I both stoked. He had asked why I didn't mention it on the blog before as my jandals are very close to my heart (as most of you know) but I wanted to give them time to make their way home.
