We got here safe! Yay!
Sleeper train of 16 hours or so... Roni woke up early but Bray slept on until after 10am. Then we watched the scenery (and 'How to Train Your Dragon') until Chiang Mai....
Got to our Guest House - heaps of geckos = Roni likes it! Quiet, nice people, close to the fresh food market and very handy to town (once we found it!)
Once we cleaned up and got changed we wandered about town and discovered a Wat or two, explored the old city and were overwhelmed by the number of massage places, 2nd hand bookshops and the avenue of European restaurants (Belgian, French, German, British, Italian, Greek....the list goes on!)
Wandered home past some impressive dragons, got dinner and ate on the rooftop at our guest house.
Lanterns being released into the sky, cool clouds, fairy lights, many skinks, yummy fruit, kebabs and time just for us.
Nice.
