To me, my passion has been travel photography through which I want to convey the "sense of place". It is by the virtue of expressing sense of place one can smell the essence of that place and primarily the objective to visit the place. Travel photography is a part of both extensive and intensive travel. Hence I like to travel a lot.
These shots has been taken from "Gongoni"- a gorge type landscape below which a shallow river "Silabati" flows. Photographers who used to visit that place, are always in a habit of capturing so called collective fishing and nothing more. But there are so many gems to explore. The struggle of tribal people, their activities, overcoming gorge in search of earnings, merriment etc. I want to reflect that how lives of tribal people on water are dependent there in Gongoni, a small village in Midnapore District, West Bengal, India.

Whenever I visit a new place for the purpose of photography, initially I stroll about and explore to look for exact vantage point, choosing different angles, mixing up with local people without letting my gear out of my backpack. This is just for what I am looking to shoot and feel the essence of the place. For I believe, that if my vision is not quiet clear as to what and why I am capturing all these things, I can not show my viewers that what exactly I want to convey through my images.
