Considering a fair few peeps got stuck into the Pilsner and rum last night, I managed to get out of it pretty unscathed. I was very conscious that today involved an entire morning of hoeing...ridding an area of more raspberry vines - we had some stunning views out over San Cristobal and with 25 volunteers, we covered a lot of ground. We had to jump into trucks and drive 30mins or so to get there, which was a bumpy ride in the trucks flatbed...
We lunched at 1pm when we got back then had the afternoon off...well everyone but me and Steve. It was our turn in the kitchen so we spent from 3-6pm picking veges, chopping garlic, scrubbing potatoes, squeezing 40 lemons for juice, setting the big boarding school-style tables...Lydia and Pedro took care of the chicken and rice. Steve and I scoffed down our food after serving over 30 peeps, then started the clear up job. We've decided that our next kitchen duty will be a nice EASY breakfast:)
Tomorrow we spend the morning at a local beach which I hear is amazing, followed by a weekend in town...woop woop!! I'll be checking out the dive operators as soon as I get in there, and trying to get Skype up and running...and post all these journal entries...
It's 830pm and I'm already in my sleeping bag. A combination of 4 hours sleep last night followed by hard labour this morning and 4 hours of kitchen duty, have resulted in sheer exhaustion. To sleep I go.

Ps. Happy Birthday bro - its November 25 today in NZ and I've been thinking about you all day X
