Into the blue... "LIFE BEGINS AT THE END OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE"

Into the Blue…

…this phrase seems to have been my dive-mantra while in Cayman, and now I feel as though it describes what Im heading into... 

I fly into Quito (Ecuador) on 12th November 2011 for a week of Spanish immersion whilst living with a host family, followed by a 4 week volunteer program on the island of San Cristobal in the Galapagos where I'll be helping with re-forestation and sustainable farming.  Perhaps the diving, hiking and animal spotting I hope to fit in on my days off will make up for the lack of hot water, intermittent power, the need for durable mosquito netting, head lamps, sturdy gumboots…not to mention hard labour! 

Christmas sees me in Brisbane with family, followed by a bit of cruising around Australia and NZ during January 2012…doing…I don't really know what!   Ideas welcome!

I then head to Fiji for another 4 week volunteer project in early February 2012.  This time its marine-based (woop woop!) helping with a reef survey and sustainable ocean food sources…diving 3 times a day…did I mention in FIJI….doesn’t sound like me at all eh?!

After that?  Its a mystery.

Lets hope I stumble into something that INSPIRES me!
