Little VENICE

ITALY | Monday, 16 June 2008 | Views [348]

08.06.08 we all got back on the bus for Italy. Our first stop was in Austria, then at the tallest bridge in Europe for lunch. It was a very long 11hours on the bus before getting to our camp site in Venice. Once settled in I met the new Busabout crew which was half Aussie and half Kiwi. The group consumed many, many drinks and had lots of laughs at the Toga party, which I did not part take in as I was a lil more sober than everyone else. But still had fun during my bottle of wine.

Monday I went into the main part of Venice with Ellen, and just wondered around for 4 hours discovering all the lil streets that leed you to no where. I was told that a map is not necessary, but did not believe it until I was there, you just have to cross your fingers and follow the crowds, and hopefully you will end up where you have to go. I finally got my Italian pizza, which was the biggest I have ever seen, and yes a photo to prove it. We picked up a few ingrediants to make our own pasta for dinner as I had convinced the Busabout driver, the night before when he was very drunk, to let me use his cabins kitchen that night. It was so good to taste chicken again!

The next day, most of us decided to lay by the pool most of the day as it was about 32deg. Although I got a lil burnt, it felt good to fell the sun on my skin. That afternoon we caught a lat bus in to see Vanice at night, and taste my firt Gelati. I was so tired I skipped drinks for bed time, as the next day was another bus day.
