Thursday 5th March
Today we took a Cathay Pacific flight to Bangkok and then managed to avoid most of the touts and got on a shuttle bus straight to our accommodation just around the corner from Khao San Road. After checking in and dropping our bags off we went for a walk down Khao San – crazy crazy place full of tourists! They have a night market selling everything from clothing and jewellery to souvenirs, food and drink. The most common dish being sold by the street vendors is Pad Thai… the strangest things we saw for sale were scorpions alongside many other unidentifiable insects!! After a brief stroll we retired to the room for an early night ready for some sightseeing tomorrow.
