Day 35 – 5th May 2016 Thursday – Yoga again

VIETNAM | Friday, 6 May 2016 | Views [460]

The power had gone on and off during the night a number of times and so  I had not had a good nights sleep as I kept waking very hot. I stopped by Michelle’s to pick he up for the ride to yoga but she didn't show. I rang her and woke her up and she said to go on ahead and she would come later. Kevin went riding alone to Montgomery Golf Links. After yoga Monika, JA, Susie, Megan, Michelle and Lisa and I headed to Soul Kitchen for breakfast and a swim. Late morning Lisa and I were the only ones remaining. Today is a perfect day. The water is clear and the breeze refreshing. I headed back via the Banh Mi place on Tran Phi Thien St. I had the chicken and cheese one today. Yesterday I had the pork and pate one but I think I prefer the chicken. Kevin was laying in the air conditioning just vegging. I headed into the central market to buy a basket for the bike again. I have arranged for Tan Vo to make the hole larger on the attachment with a grinder. I got a wire one for VND 50k. Kevin changed some money again at the gold shop and the rate is dropping, it is now VND 16,600. I went to Vang’s house at 4.30 to help Tri with his English. We did a couple of lessons including stand up, sit down and my name is. Was fun and I worked up a sweat for sure. I dashed home for a quick shower and then we were off to meet up with Monika, JA, Susie and Leonard at Cargo for dinner. I had the beef lasagna, while Kevin had chicken parmie. Kevin finished off with lemon tart for desert. The meal was our first real western meal since leaving home and I certainly enjoyed it. It was more expensive than what we have been eating but who cares. A$29
