Day 142 13th September 2014 Saturday. Dad’s 79th birthday today. Got up early and went for a walk to Warden Lake which is at the end of our road. When I came back we decided to drive east to Bandy Creek Harbour and Wylie Bay where you can take the vehicle on the sand. We set up just at the start of the bay on some rocks and threw our lines in. No luck. We then came back to Brady Creek Harbour and again no luck. Headed back at 11.30 as we were going to the Pier Hotel for lunch to celebrate dads birthday. After lunch we went on the Port Authority Tour operated by Apex. It was interesting driving around in the bus getting the history of not only the Port but also Esperance. We then went to Woolies to stock up for a few days. When we got back I started packing up the awning and other things and then I settled in to watch the footy. Freo v Port. What a game. Decided to pack the BBQ and take it home but left the table near the rubbish bins for Jackie and Steve, owners as I am sure they could use it in the camp kitchen once completed.
