Day 91 24th July 2014 Thursday. Very slow moving this morning as back still quite sore. We left the park about 10.30 and headed into Cape Range National Park. Stopped at Tantabiddi Boat Ramp which is where everyone launches their boat within the National park. We stopped at Neds Camp which is a site I would like to have been able to stay but all the campsites within the National Park are booked or closed due to the flooding that occurred in April after Cyclone Jack. Chatted to the camp host and got lots of fishing tips. Stopped at Milyering Discovery Centre which is the visitor centre for Ningaloo Reef and the National Park. Both have recently obtained World Heritage Listing. Had lunch at the visitor centre and then headed to Turquoise Bay to snorkel. The beach was in a nice cove with white sandy sand. We donned our gear and off we went. It was amazing. The different fish varieties were many and the size of the fish ranged from 1” to 2’ and the colours were across the rainbow. We only snorkelled for half an hour and afterward I felt quite sick. Whether I swallowed salt water or was sea sick I felt lousy. We headed back toward the caravan park and stopped at Mangrove Bay to look at the Observation Bird Hide but there we not any birds that we could see. When we got back to the park I laid down while dad went fishing and Kevin went for a walk. Dad caught a trevally and a dart. Didn’t eat much for tea as still felt off.
