Day 76 8th July 2014 Tuesday Today is a 2 tide day (dodge tide). Kevin went walking in the morning while I did a load of washing. Kevin found a fair amount of medium sized shells. After lunch we all headed off to the market and I bought some more Octopus Circle hooks and 2 peg bags and will use one as a bait bag. Mum bought a bread bag hat. Kevin got a couple of books. We then headed off fishing again to the same spot as yesterday afternoon. Within 10 minutes of casting off I had caught the first fish and they kept coming. We caught a total of 12 Blue Thread Fin and I caught 8 plus threw 1 back that was smaller. Dad got 3 and Kevin got 1. Kevin got a bit huffy so went off for a mammoth walk for 2 hours. He managed to find some more shells. Mum also went shell hunting. Once we had our bag limit dad and Kevin had to scale and fillet the fish. What an exciting day. We had fish for tea and it was a nice tasting soft fish. Kevin and dad teamed up for canasta and won easily. Seemed to get all the wild cards.
