A trip to the mother land

UNITED KINGDOM | Thursday, 10 January 2013 | Views [288] | Comments [1]

My time spent in Devon was short but very sweet. Everyone said I would hate being home after a week but since I only had 4 days all I can say is I wish I had a week.

Seeing my mums beaming little face as I made my way through the arrivals doors at London Heathrow after 15 months away was one of the most emotional experiences of my life. I was happy, scared, excited and nervous all rolled in to one. As soon as she saw me she jumped through the rails and we just hugged and cried :) We spent the journey home catching up and laughing like I had only left yesterday.

I had never been to mums new house but the minute I walked in I knew it was home :) There is no place in this world like home!!

I loved the crisp cold weather and I had been looking forward to it. Wearing a hat and being able to put on perfume freely without it attracting Mosquitos. Putting on make up without it dripping off your face!! It's the little things you forget but it's the little things that make you really appreciate being home.

I caught up with all my lovely friends over coffee and lunch and a night out in Exeter.

Mum and I went out for my favourite Carvery at the Hare and Hounds with Jodie and I saw my Niece and Nephew. They loved the present I brought back for them from my travels!!

Distance really does make the heart grow fonder!!

Peace and Love

Twice I have waited with delight and eagerness
to see my beautiful daughters face... The first time
the wait was 9 months of pregnancy, the second
was her 15 months of traveling... Both times I cried
with tears of happiness upon seeing her beautiful face.
Two of the happiest days of my life!!! Love you forever x
