We drove to the Sacred Valley and on way we passed some incredible views, one looking over all of Cuzco and others looking over the cliff sides at the vast valley. we stopped at a Lama zoo were you could go in the pens with the differnt types of Lamas and feed them. then we went up to the Sacred temples and the are the second most preserved structures (first being Machu Picchu). they had TERRACES which are like giant steps used to steep of hills to farm on so they made the "artificial" flat land. they rang in size from about 8' to 20 feet high made of rock walls. the Inca people were very advanced in building structures and finding ways to move large rocks considering that the didn't invent the wheel. instead they used ciruler stones and rolled them over. the mummified the dead also but not like the Egyptians, the Inca people didn't remove the intestines and didn't bandage them up either. they put them in large clay jars and sealed them with a mud based putty. sometimes the were buried with there pets (dogs). it was a great day, very hot (around 26).
