Greece May 30th - June 4th
We arrived in Athens on time and a little tired as it was an early morning. The airports are getting a lot easier to navigate as we have the drill down pat. We jumped on the local bus and were off to our home for the night (A very small room close to the Port of Pireaus) We walked down to pick up out ferry tickets as we were on our way to the Island of Santorini in the morning. A quick stop for dinner and off to bed as it had been a long travel day. We arrived early and of course after a disagreement of which ferry to get on we tried the wrong one. We were of course pointed in the right directing and onto The Blue Star ferry we went. It was a 7 hour ride to Santorini Island. We sat and watched all of the islands going past the window with a stop at Naxos and Paros Islands. Our ride was waiting at the terminal. He gave us a quick tour and some info on the Island as we approached the Resort. It was a lovely place only 1 minute walk from a beautiful black sand beach. We where surprised how warm the Sea was so we jumped right in. We walked around the small town and arranged a scooter rental for the morning so that we could tour the Island. It is good to be back on the road again, and on the right side. Feels a little odd to be back to the right but feels more like home still. We went to the Red sand beach, the main city of Fira,, and Oia the famous city on the cliff. We stopped at a quite small restaurant for dinner and hopped to watch the sunset. After a day on the road we rested at our beach all day playing in the waves, and at our pool. One day left and then we are off to the next island Paros Island.
