The first person I had seen or spoken to in 6 days was this farmer in a secluded valley. I think we freaked each other out a little bit, so I gave him a muesli bar in exchange for a photo, and we both happily parted ways.

This is half way up the most challenging pass of the trek. Photos never accurately show the steepness of an incline, but this pass was brutally steep.

I was walking through a valley that had recieved some heavy rain the night before. I stepped into this puddle, thinking it was only a few inches deep, and instantly sunk all the way up to my chest. It was extremely frightening as I was completely stuck. I yelled out to a couple of girls in the distance. They ran over and pulled me out.
