Ecuador

During our time in Quito we witnessed the kidnapping of the corrupt Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa by the Police force. Was quite an exciting time to be on the streets with many people lighting fires on the road to express their support of the Police. Eventually the military ambushed the police headquarters and set the President free. Unfortunately 10 police officers were killed in the battle. We were just a few blocks away from where this happened.
