Merdeka Independent Square where the first Prime Minister of Malaysia declared independence on December 31.08.1957 when Britain granted independence to Malaysia. Then the Malaysian flag was hoisted here on behalf 100m mast flags of England and it became the Independence Square.
Merdeka Square is a large lawn, lawn before it is used to play cricket, a sport to hit balls with sticks. Today this field is used to organize the concert on Saturday of the 3rd week of the month, from 5 to 6 pm.
