Beyond the Ebb and Flow

Well, most probably already know me, at least partially, but for those who don't, my name is Tessa. I live in a small town in Southern Indiana called Washington, born and raised. I am a Registered Nurse, but recently quit my job to take up packpacking Southeast Asia for about 3 months. I have always been quite intrigued with travel, so I finally mustred up the nerve to just do it! I am not religious, but I consider myself to be spiritual. Some might think I am closed-minded because of where I am from, however I'd like to think this not be true. Thank you to my father and mother for coming together and making me who I am, which I would consider to be very open-minded, understanding, caring, and likeable! Some may also believe me to be naive, because I think the world is generally good. I believe everyone has some good in them, and that every single person on this planet will make mistakes. I believe that one must forgive. Forgiveness is so important to me, not for the benefit of others, but mainly for oneself. I also believe in "The Golden Rule", which my father has been teaching me about my whole life. To me, this means treat others the way you want to be treated. If you live by "The Golden Rule", then happiness is sure to find you.

Passion... I am passionate about few things. One thing I can say that I have passion for is music. It consumes me. I consume it. Music takes me places I have never thought imaginable. Music is such a great way to get people to come together and live as one. The band 311 has taken me so many places (literally), introduced me to many new friends, have gotten me through tough times, and are there with me through the good times. The band is actually so much more than just the music, its a lifestyle. A lifestyle that consists of positivity, kindness, generosity, and a view that all people on this earth are equal and should be treated that way. Also included in this 311 way of life is the speculation and fascination of aliens! I know they are out there.

The whole reason for creating this journal is to let friends, family, and whoever else wants to know, what I am up to and my whereabouts. Also for future references. Anyways, wanderlust has consumed me! Off I go!
