Chasing The Buddha! Yesterday is but today’s memory and tomorrow is today’s dream...

My Photo scholarship 2010 entry

Nepal | Friday, August 13, 2010 | 5 photos

Greetings from Nepal !

Born Buddhist with a very unique Sagittarian trait, I am always looking "over the hill and far away." Travel and exploration naturally appeals to the like of my restless soul. I consciously strive to obtain freedom by engaging in philosophic or religious studies, or more directly through travel and exploring the Great Outdoors. I am an amateur photographer with the penchant in Travel and Buddhism. Maroon robe seems to intrigue me! I find myself dropping by Kopan Monastery very often, my solace & the monks there constant source of joy to see smile on their face. I've tried to capture those moment to the best of my ability & the monument you see is one of The Holiest Buddhist site & the largest in the world. Boudhanath is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The million dolor question remains as of Why should I be chosen for this scholarship? I believe Bhutan definitely epitomizes all that I believe in, Spiritual, Mystical and reservoir of rich and ancient culture that awaits revelation. My special wish will be bestowed upon me in the guise of this Travel Photography Scholarship as it'll grant me the opportunity to learn from the Professional & satiate my wanderlust and enrich my photography skill from the renowned photographer! Dreams come true, indeed for me as I haven't studied photography & the Pentax Equipment worth $2000 that is beyond my financial affordability will definitely propel me further into the Wide world of Photography of the Great Outdoor, that I could only dream of!

I believe in The Great Universe, if I am deserving enough of a chance of a lifetime to be under tutelage of Jason Edwards and to have this Life enriching experience of traveling to Bhutan to taste the culture & the Nature, I would consider myself Goddamn Lucky!

Best Regards!
Pasang
