    Day three- Rotorua

    Mum, we are alive :)

    Hi!

    We left Auclkand early today, had a quick stop at Mount Eden (or Avon... something like that!) which is an extinct volcano with views over Auckland. Then we drove to Thames, where we had a quick stop for morning tea. We then arrived in Hobbiton (can't remember its proper name), where some of Lord of the Rings was filmed. this afternoon we arrived in Rotorua, where we checked into our hostel. At 6pm we left the hostel to go to a Maori Hangi, where we saw traditional MAori ceremonies and then had food cooked in a pit filled with hot rocks. It was DELICIOUS and well worth the obscene amount of money we paid for it (85NZ)!

    Hi Aussies on the move!!!

    I see you guys are backpacking :) hope your having fun. I dont have any tips, just enjoy. I hope you guys meet a lot of people like I (and Chick) did when we were in Australia. Thanks again for staying at your place (for the whole family of course). HAVE FUN!!!

    hi guys!!
    Christ: we are having the most awesome time!! there is SO much to do in new Zealand! had the most exciting morning (watch out for the next blog, it's cath's turn to write tonight so i'm not allowed to say what we did!!) there seem to be a lot of Dutch over here though- YUK!! lol only joking :)
    Dean: lol it took you a while to find it... guess cath doesn't go for smart guys :P
    Krist: The food was AMAZING (you so should organise a hangi for a welcome home party for us lol) but so was the... cultural stuff! lol
