Weather looks good today so planning a bike tour of Berlin. We did one in Paris and it was excellant. Will see the major sites like the topography of terror, museum island, Berlin Wall, Reichstag,Ceck point Charlie, Brandenburg Gate and others . We will see wich ones we want to go back to to spend more time at for the last fews days while we are here. There about 3.4 million people in Berlin and where we had lunch yesterday the city looked vibrant with many hgh end shops and plenty of bars and cafes...prices in the grocery stores look reasonable and when you purchase things it is just like using dollars with a 30% premium for the Euro... time to get more coffee
Did a Fat Tire bike tour today of Berlin similar to what we did in Paris a couple of years ago... saw many sites , the Wall, Check Point Cahrlie, the Luffwaffe Ministry, Humbolt University , Bebleplatz where the Nazi book burning took place , location of Hitlers bunker, Soviet War memorial,Brandenburg gate, monument to the murdered Jews, the Reichstag and the State Opera house, Museum Isalnd, the Chancellors House. Weahter was great and we had a nice bike ride through the Tiergarten Park along the Spree River large park and lunch at a delightful beer garden . Got back to the apartment close to 6pm and picked up some chicken @ the Flying Chicken and some nice treats at the pastry shop next door. Were pretty tired after a day of sight seeing...
