My Scholarship entry - Paddling under the Midnight Sun

I am a 26yo kiwi traveller who has just discovered my passion for photography. I spent four years travelling around the world and have now returned to NZ to attempt to make a documentary. While travelling in Canada, I joined five mates and together we paddled, pulled and hiked three canoes 1500km through the wild northern backcountry. It was an amazing experience and we managed to get some incredible footage which I am now trying to cut together into an inspiring, adventure conservation documentary. We are trying to try save one of North Americas last intact wild ecosystems and hopefully this film can advocate for its protection.
Through this process I have gained a huge passion for sharing stories through the lens of photography and film. But I am still very much a beginner. taught myself to edit on youtube. This scholarship would be an incredible learning opportunity and hopefully allow me to develop my skills and more importantly learn first hand from an experienced story teller. The best things in life are shared and I would love the chance to share this story with the world.
