A World of our Own. We left Newport, Rhode Island on a 64ft Sailboat heading to the British Virgin Islands. Day 1 began with stormy seas, and after a rough night we were greeted with glassy calm conditions. The flat seas allowed me to take this photo. I climbed 85 feet up to the top of the mast with my camera firmly strapped to my back. I selected this photo because it captures one of the feelings onboard the boat; that when you are surrounded by endless horizons and there is no land in sight, it literally feels like your in your own little world.
