So, for my first night out on the town in San Jose, I met up with some couchsurfers at a restaurant for Josh and Marianas birthday. This site is so cool, and I try to get everyone that likes to travel to sign up for it...www.couchsurfing.com...everybody made me feel welcome right away, and I decided to hang at the table of all the Spanish speaking couchsurfers so I could try to listen and understand some things that they were saying in Spanish. They could speak english as well, but I just told them to mainly talk in Spanish so I could try to learn some more. Anyways, after awhile, I was talking to this girl at the table eventually in English, and I found out that she works for Proctor and Gamble in San Jose, Costa Rica. She says she loves it because they fly her to the states, and they have offices all over South America as well. I think this helped me arrive at a plan to maybe find a job in the states for Proctor and Gamble for a year and relocate to Central or South America for awhile to continue with the Spanish...then I would probably make the similar amount of $ that I was making in the states, and would definitely go a lot farther in South America or Central America. I feel in the states it ends up just being work, work, work, and no time for other fun things in life!
One great experience of many more to come, I know I will continue to meet great people through Couchsurfing...I just think I lined up a place to stay another month in Costa Rica with a couchsurfing buddy Jake from California!!!!!!! Should be good times in San Pedro, Costa Rica!!!!!!!!!
