7 June, Saturday

UNITED KINGDOM | Saturday, 7 June 2008 | Views [124]

After a fairly long journey, made much easier by Tom-Tom! As Allan's house is apparently difficult to find, he met us at the Burtonwood Services. How good it was to see him again after over 20 years. Mind you, his new teeth are a bid disconcerting! He looks so like both Dad and Uncle Allan - oddly enough, considering Uncle Allan is on Mum's side!

Drove to Clockface - Dot hasn't changed a bit! We had a lovely warm welcome. We had been warned about all the knick-knacks in there house and, boy, there were lots. Hundreds of mirrors as well. Poppy, their Cavalier, is a lovely dog and Allan is very proud of his house.

Later, Janet, and her two youngest children Nadia & Layla came around, then Sabena (Janet's oldest), her partner Mark, her daughter Ayesha and their sons Lewis and Mason arrived. Nice to finally meet their family.

Had tea and then went to Allan's local for a pint.
