    My Scholarship entry - A 'place' I have visited

    At the same time a distinct feeling of remoteness will creep in. Combined with the harshness of the surrounding environment that makes you feel small compared to nature it will trigger an understanding as to why so many people have left these islands in the course of centuries. The small deserted hut in front of the vast ocean seemed to provide a perfect picture of these feelings.
