We got away from Brisbane on schedule on 21 August 2007 on a Qantas flight to Sydney. OK except for the striparama at security because of artificial hips. (I'll never get used to it).
We didn't sleep much on the 9.35 hour flight to Honolulu, then went to the wrong hotel. It's Waikiki Beachside Hotel NOT Waikiki Beach Hotel. Anyway we sorted it out and had a good time wandering about and checking out Waikiki beach.
