    The country still didn’t heal from the war completely. There is tension at the border and local conflicts that happen now and then. The capital though is trying to live on without keeping hard feelings. And yet, the war films that film students make, the red flags on the streets and the symbol of the Kosovo Liberation Army that an ex-fighter keeps at home help to remember. by: pogodi Views[485] One of the “sights” of the city is a nearby nuclear power station. “When the wind blows in our direction we get high without drugs”, - jokes a young Albanian guy. This is an anti-nuclear exhibition in the National Theater of Prishtina. by: pogodi Views[578] Because of the war the average age of the population these days is very young. Being supported by European Union one part of the youth becomes active in politics and culture, another part is more concentrated on partying hard. The night life in Prishina often reminds of Berlin. The day-life and its working-class spirit of the adults still reminds of Eastern Europe. by: pogodi Views[590] And if you look down – you find yourself in the middle of a compressed city full of construction sites standing next to new and shiny buildings lost in myriads of cars parked on top of each other. This city leaves a feeling of a place in the middle of its growth, yet far from blooming. by: pogodi Views[631] Prishtina appeared to be a city where when you look up - you see the web of wires, numerous minarets that pierce through it to reach the sky and red spots of the flag with a black eagle – unofficial separatist flag used from 1991 to 2000 and yet still extremely popular among Albanians in Kosovo as a symbol of the victory. by: pogodi Views[593]
