One of the “sights” of the city is a nearby nuclear power station. “When the wind blows in our direction we get high without drugs”, - jokes a young Albanian guy. This is an anti-nuclear exhibition in the National Theater of Prishtina.

Because of the war the average age of the population these days is very young. Being supported by European Union one part of the youth becomes active in politics and culture, another part is more concentrated on partying hard. The night life in Prishina often reminds of Berlin. The day-life and its working-class spirit of the adults still reminds of Eastern Europe.

The country still didn’t heal from the war completely. There is tension at the border and local conflicts that happen now and then. The capital though is trying to live on without keeping hard feelings. And yet, the war films that film students make, the red flags on the streets and the symbol of the Kosovo Liberation Army that an ex-fighter keeps at home help to remember.
