On my way on the night bus from Mancora to a place called Trujillo (Huanchaco) I was suddenly overcome with that warm fuzzy feeling of wanting to share. And so I kindly donated my passport, credit card, debit card, some money in US and soles, my 30 GB MP3 player, a ring, a bumbag, vaccination card and Brazillian and Peruvian visas and plane tickets home to charity. I dozed only for 30 mins on the whole trip by the guy behind me was so smooth... anyway, he also got from our group 2 more mp3 players and one camera...
But, I have less to carry now and less to lose. And I got to meet the police (no cute ones unfortunately). I also got to be responsible for holding a bus up for one hour (3 am) and having everyone ordered off it also. Clever, no?
Anyway, cards cancelled, travel insurance advised and hope to pick up my emergency passport tomorrow. As for visas, they are overrated, no?
My group is very supportive and caring so I will survive! I'm laying low in Lima now... got a few days here. So many people... I think, 7 million?
Keep well all!
