Butch Cassidy Country

ARGENTINA | Sunday, 14 March 2010 | Views [379]

The views of the Fitz Roy(3400MTS) mountain and the Cerro Torres(3200mts) and Cerro Solo were fantastic as was the small glacier between the two. I was expecting wind down here but yesterday whilst up on the mountain taking the photos I was forced to sit down rather than be blown over.

Anyway the Butch Cassidy story: Seems that Butch and his wife robbed the English bank in Rio Gallogos and in making there escape they stopped for a month at the Hotel Los Leano on their way to the Chilean Border. This is the one with all the milage signs on it.

Photos today are, in order. Lakes and Mountains around Bariloche,The journey south (I took photos just to prove there was nothing to take photos of), and the Fitz Roy mountains, lastly the Butch Cassidy Inn.
