So I'm sure that you all have an Idea about Rio. I did, but reality is so much better than the ideas I had. The beaches of South Rio are to be seen to be believed. Thousands of near naked bodies frying gently in the 90 degree heat. I walked about 5 miles along the beach but did not get to the end. The atmosphere on the beach was electric. I gave up as the sun was winning and I was starting to go bright red! I wss ready to be disapointed at the Carnival parade. Our tickets had been changed to Monday night. we were also in a sector quite a long way from the runway, But boy was I amazed! I'm sorrey but it was fantastic. The crowd all sang and danced the floats were spectacular and the performers supurb. Even I was dancing with a brazilian bird next to me. By the time the parade had passed I could sing the words of the one song each group used. What can I say. This was an event that everyone should experience!! Sorry my photos do not give the event the credit it deserves.
